GPS Installation

Our intention was to transport GPS signals from virtual space into real space. The installation is based on
routes that we had covered by car

before. The routes were recorded with a laptop and a GPS system. In our university’s hallway we installed the routes with colourful clothing lines, hammers and lots and lots of nails.

On the floor of the hallway we placed a coordinate system, so the visitor of the installation feels like walking through a huge coordinate system. Thus, the borders between real and virtual space come blurred and you can pass the routes on your own, just in a smaller scale.
