interview with sascha lobo and holm friebe

work the way you live
about self-determined working, constructive criticism and a lucky punch

the promoter and the businessmen , personnel manager and permanent employee. they worked for mtv, jungle world, taz, titanic and blond. in times of job reductions, the crash of the new economy and inflexible working hours, the first hesitance and consideration has arisen. then his first own projects: central intelligence agency, riesenmaschine.de.

due to the internet and a will for freedom, sascha lobo and holm friebe have provoked a storm. in their book “wir nennen es arbeit – die digitale boheme oder intelligentes leben jenseits der festanstellung” (translation: we call it work – digital bohemia or intelligence beyond permanent employment) they break away from the “generation internship” and move towards self-determined working.

i met them in january 2007 in cologne for an interview, where we were talking about the pleasure to work the way you live. a conversation about the chances of the internet, artistic licence and about a bohemia that has learned walking.
